Painted between 1793 and 1794 by the French artist Jean-Baptiste Regnault, The Three Graces is a classic image from Greek mythology painted using oil on canvas.
The Three Graces were also known as the Charites in Greek mythology, and were generally considered to be three daughters of Zeus and Hera. In Greek mythology the Graces were the personifications of grace and beauty, minor goddesses, and also companions of the Greek goddess Aphrodite.
