The Golden Fleece is an artwork painted by the British artist Herbert James Draper in 1904. Draper is known for his painting of mythological events, and the Golden Fleece portrays an event from Greek mythology.
This artwork depicts a point when the Golden Fleece has been stolen from the Grove of Ares, and now it, as well as Medea are onboard the Argo ready to flee. Jason has of course been tasked to retrieve the Golden Fleece by King Pelias; Pelias of course believing that Jason would be killed in the quest.
